Samuel Nwanosike, the chairman of ikwerre local government area of Rivers State claimed all stakeholders of the party recommended Governor Wike as Atiku’s running mate.
He Atiku Abubakar did not honor his words to respect the decision of the party which set up a monitor to choose a running mate for the 2023 general elections for PDP.
Meanwhile, State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Sydney Gbara says the party in the state is not disturbed by the emergence of Governor Okowa as the running mate of Atiku.
He said the party remains united despite what played out in Abuja, while PDP Chieftain in the state, Ogbonna Nwuke says by Atiku’s choice of a running mate, he did not reject Governor Wike, but he rejected Rivers State.
