Former VC Prof B.B Fakae win Rivers State University in court over his 8 years pay

Former Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University Prof B.B Fakae has won his case against the university for being denied 8 years salary.

Fakae a professor of Veterinary Parasitology,  commenced this suit by way of Complaint and Statement of Facts dated and filed on 2nd November, 2015. With the leave of court granted on the 21st of June, 2016. BEFORE HIS LORDSHIP HON. JUSTICE P. I. HAMMAN in the Nigerian Industrial court sitting in Port Harcourt.

The court Declared that he is entitled to all his entitlements, remuneration, salaries, emoluments and/or other privileges which accrued to him as an employee of the defendant(The university) vide a letter of offer of appointment dated 16th May, 2014. Fakae was first appointed the vice Chancellor of Rivers State University on the 1st of August, 2008.

After expiration of his tenure, he was re-appointed as an acting vice Chancellor after many controversies.
