The deputy Governor of Rivers State Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo have urged fathers to play their role well in commemoration of Father’s Day Celebration


The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo said there is need for fathers  to continue play the fatherly role in their families.

The deputy Governor said this in her goodwill message from the Government House in Port Harcourt on Saturday 18th June 2022, to felicitate with all fathers in the State to commemorate this year, 2022 Father’s Day Celebration.

She said fathers must take deliberate steps to ensure that their children are given the right training and exposure to become useful to themselves and the society.

Dr. Banigo noted that children raised in dysfunctional family settings often turn out to become miscreants, adding that the Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike led Administration’s commitment to ensure that Rivers Children get the best form of education is non-negotiable.

She wished Governor Wike and all fathers in the state a Happy Father’s Day Celebrations.

Dr. Banigo is a medical doctor by profession and a mother and a grandmother.
