Edna Omezurike from Ozuoba in Obio/Akpor LGA becomes the second female to be honored with Passed Staff Course Dagger since inception of Nigeria Navy in 1956

A big congratulations to Commander Chinomso Edna Omezurike for flying the flag of our dear LGA and entire Ikwerre Ethnic Nationality high through her award as a Passed Staff Course Dagger on June 13, 2022 by the Armed Forces Command and Staff College where she was appointed a Directing Staff by the Nigerian Navy to teach at the Command in Jaji, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Edna, an indigene of Ozuoba Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government becomes the second female to be honored with this award since the inception of the Nigerian Navy in 1956.

It is a proud moment for us as a Local Government Council to be associated with Edna. We are happy that she made the best choice to serve her fatherland and keep us safe with her enlistment into the Nigerian Navy.

Edna, like our amiable Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has made us proud through this achievement, as such should be regarded as an ambassador of our great LGA.

I am particularly motivated by Edna’s passion for success. I strongly believe her award as Passed Staff Course Dagger by the Nigerian Navy will be a huge inspiration and have great influence on younger generations, particularly women to be catalyst for greater success.

As a government concerned about the wellbeing and development of its people, we will not fail in our support to our people, especially those who have committed themselves to one course or another and we must ensure that no segment of our society is left behind.

Hearty congratulations, Commander. We join family, friends and well wishers to celebrate with you and appreciate the Nigerian Navy for recognizing your efforts and immense contributions to the growth of the Command.
