A former State House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Bayelsa State, Odienyefa Ogbolosingha has been assassinated by unknown men in Yenagoa the state capital.
The men trace the victim to his house and were said to be masked and dressed in military uniform.
He the victim was the younger brother of late Michael Ogbolosingha the former chairman of Yenagoa Local Government area of the state who was a comedian turned politician.
A source said the assassination could be because of the crisis in Kalaba community where the victim hailed from which has led to the murder of the paramount ruler and the Community Development Committee chairman over their refusal to allows setting up of an illegal refinery in the community.
