Labour Party in Rivers State fault INEC’s decision to fix July 31st as the last day for CVR across the country.

 

The State Chairman of the Labour Party made an observation in Port Harcourt at the Inauguration of the Grassroot Alliance for Better Nigeria, GABEN Andoni Chapter of Rivers State.

The Chairman, who was represented by the Assistant Secretary, Awaji Gogo, said the alleged difficult process involved in acquiring the Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs. is a concern.

He faulted the decision of INEC to fix 31st July as the last day for the registration of continues voters card across the country.

During the inauguration, Director General of the Grassroots Alliance for Better Nigeria, GABEN, a Labour Party support group, said the movement was formed to change the narrative.

He decried the underdevelopment in Andoni Local Government, despite being the 3rd largest oil producing local government in the country.

The Director general said the launch of the Andoni Chapter will be the beginning of similar inaugurations of other branches across the country.

The group is to support Peter Obi who is the presidential candidate of Labour Party in forth coming 2023 presidential election
