Uba Sani the Governorship candidate of All Progressive congress, Kaduna state chapter said there is no rift between Kashim Shettima, and Governor Nasir El-Rufai the Governor of Kaduna state.
It has been alleged that El-Rufai was jostling to be chosen as the the vice presidential candidate of the party ahead of Shettima which made the governor was disappoint about.
Shettima who is a former governor of Borno state in North west Nigeria have always had a frosty relationship with governor El-Rufai from the north west Nigeria.
Due to the alleged “cold war” after he lost out from being picked by Bola Tinubu as a running mate, Uba Sani have debunked the rumor via his statement.
He said:
“I want to also deliver a goodwill message from my brother, Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai of Kaduna State.
Uba Sani also wrote previously after unveiling shettima he said:
"Senator Kashim Shettima is an outstanding and one of the most detribalised leader I know and have worked with for years. His nomination as the running mate to our party's Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is a great choice and we assure them of our support in ensuring the success of the party at all levels in the forthcoming general elections".
Meanwhile governor El-Rufai has remained silent, he has made any official state on Shettima's normination.
