Rivers State Peoples Democratic party chairman resolves leadership tussle in Etche GDI

For some months, there has been leaders tussles in Etche Local Government Area chapter of Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI)

The State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers State, His Excellency, Ambassador Desmond Akawor held a meeting with PDP elders, leaders and stakeholders in Etche Local Government Area to resolve their ongoing misunderstanding as regards the leadership of Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI) in the LGA.

After listening keenly to the basis of the misunderstanding from all parties involved, the chairman mediated an agreement, reached with all parties of the leadership of the LGA present:

1. That Iheanyichukwu Iroegbu(Paparazzi) remains the Coordinator for now,

2. That Agbagbuo Teslim will be the Deputy Coordinator,

3. That Ebereonwu Egbuchem will be the Secretary,

4. That Chikezie Precious will be the Assistant Secretary.

The GDI is expected to carry out their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) sensitization in Etche, in the community of Okomoko.

Ambassador Akawor urged all leaders involved to work together in unity, as life is transient, therefore it is imperative to leave a good legacy for others to emulate.

He added that the PDP is a united party that is warming up for a transition government which will be successful when all hands are on deck, urging the leaders to put their differences aside and work in unity to deliver the party at all levels in the area and the state.
