The Station and Staff accommodation was built and fully furnished by Distinguished Senator. Betty Okagua Apiafi, was aimed at ameliorating the sufferings of the Emughan people due to the insecurity witnessed in the area.

Over the years, the Emughan people have witnessed high level of insecurity, which have bedeviled them by the activities of cult groups and organised crime syndicates, not to mention the many lives and properties lost due to interfamilial and intercommunal conflicts.
