The Top five candidates for 2023 gubernatorial Election in Rivers State

 

There are five top candidates for the Rivers Governorship Election

1. Sim Fubara - PDP

2. Tonye Cole - APC

3. Magnus Abe - SDP

4. - Labour party

5. Dumo Lulu Briggs - Accord Party

Magnus Abe/ Tonye Cole, Dwari George or Dumo Briggs ( in no particular order) can give APC a good chance of winning but sadly they are all running individually.

The election normally should be between APC and PDP but unfortunately the wanted Sim Fubara might have a sweet run to the brick house in 2023 if the other candidates do not step up their game plan.

Out of the five candidates, 4 were once in the APC. Tonye Cole, Magnus Abe , Dumo Briggs and Dwari George were once in the APC with Abe being the latest defector.

With the depletion and defections that has rocked the APC in Rivers State, PDP has the edge.

Sadly everyone wants to be Governor in Rivers State.

It's still early to call the shots though but elections are not won by mere sentiments of "it's my turn" . The right strategy is needed to win in a traditionally PDP state.
