Governor Nyesom Wike spoke as he arrived Port Harcourt international airport from Spain
He said“I have decided to be quiet because PDP is a party I love so much,”

The governor said Atiku Abubarka told lies against him, He used some chieftains of All progressive congress to spread falsehood against his person

He said “I have moved on to conclude my social contract with the people of Rivers State. However, it is time to let Nigerians know the truth.” 

Wike said: I "will respond to Atiku and his ‘attack dogs’ one by one and line by line in due time. "Posterity would not forgive me should i fail to set the record straight. 

"I will clear the air after commissioning the projects lined up for inauguration in the state." 

Speaking on the reconciliation committee set up by the PDP leadership, Governor Wike stated that Atiku had yet to send any delegation to him. He, however, said that Bukola Saraki, met with him in Spain, although in his personal capacity. 

"He (Atiku) came to house to beg for support but suddenly does not know the way to my house any longer. 

"I challenged anyone to identify that he or she was sent by Atiku to speak to me about the issue in the party and the aftermath of the party’s presidential primary. 

According to him, the idea of setting up a committee was only being seen in the media. But  insisted that he would remain in PDP and help rebuild the party.

The governors are reportedly scheduled to meet with Atiku this weekend over the crisis rocking the party. A member of Governor Wike’s strategy team allegedly said they have all agreed that no matter what happened, they are not going to leave the PDP for any other party.
