North Central state, Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong was disappoint director General for campaign of Tinubu/Shettima ticket which is a Muslim-Muslim.
On his return from Abuja, the people of Plateau were very happy and joyous over the appointment but a coalition under the aegis of the North Central Youths and Women Forum on Tuesday took to the streets in Abuja to proteste against his nomination calling it a betrayal.
Recall most Christians in Nigeria have being against Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressive Congress.
The protester who are also members of the party ( APC) were demanding that the VP ticket belongs to the Northern Christians while also calling on all Christians in APC to say no to campaign DGship which was given to lalong.
Lalong as a northern Christian has been seen as a betrayer for accepting the DGship of APC campaign for 2023 presidential election.
