Saturday 27th August will never be forgotten in a hurry by Sii people of Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.

On this day, the foundation laying ceremony for the proposed Sii Community Market was performed.

The project, which is a brainchild of Rivers State Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN, Rotr. Comr. Nwisabari Bani Samuel will serve to ameliorate the challenge of the lack of a functional market and stalls for rural business and other economic activities.

Comr. On hand to identify with this lofty idea, and play a brotherly role was the Senatorial Candidate for Rivers South-East District, and former Nigerian Ambassador to the Royal Kingdom of The Netherlands, His Excellency Chief Hon. Ambassador Oji Nyimenuate Ngofa.

The Senatorial Candidate, Ambassador Ngofa initially joined the Sii Community people at the Methodist Church, Sii for a worship session, to pray for the liberation and development of the Community, where he made a personal donation to support the work of God, and further proceeded to the Sii Community Market Square to perform the foundation laying.

Ambassador Oji Ngofa assured the people of Sii, that, at the right time, and with the needed government ambience and leverage, the community would not be left unattended to, as it is presently. The Senatorial hopeful decried the level of poverty and underdevelopment and assured them of better days ahead.

He proceeded to perform the foundation laying of the market amidst cheers and adulations from the women and locals of Sii Community.
