Asari-Toru LGA boss collaborate with Health care management board for free health car for the people of Oproama community

In insuring good health management and lessen the sufferings of the elder and young people, the chairman of Asari Toru Local Government area in collaboration with Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board, has been carrying out free medical checkups, free medicines and distribution of mosquito nets to the indigenes and residents of Oproama community in the LGA since Sunday July 31, 2022.

As second phase of the medical outreach as begun on 7/08/2022, it expected to end by Sunday 14th August, 2022.

The people of the community has been thankful as the outreach has lessen sufferings of the elderly as over 300 elderly men and women, youths and children have benefited from the exercise.

"Outreach programs are important tools for bringing health education and screening services directly to community members and serve to contribute to reducing health disparities". This is according to Dr. Temple Akagbue, the LGA Medical Officer of Health.
