Rivers' state AA governorship candidate, Dawari George has joined other well meaning of Rivers people in celebrating former Governor of Rivers State Sir Dr Peter Odili at 74, describes him "man of history"
Dr. Dawari Ibietela George, congratulated the former Governor saying it was a milestone worthy of celebration.
In a statement in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, on Monday, the AA governorship candidate, who described the former governor as a worthy statesman and a man of history, said Rivers State has been blessed with Odili's intelligence, industry and commitment to peace and development.
While acknowledging his contributions to the development of the state as governor, and out of office as a private citizen, the Action Alliance standard flag-bearer noted that Odili's contributions to global health practice and scholarship through the PAMO University of Medical Sciences, a globally rated source of training for the medical and ancillary personnel, would be indelible in history.
Not only was Dr. Odili trained as a medical doctor by some of Nigeria's best medical professionals, but his decision to establish PAMO University of Medical Sciences, a globally-rated medical institution where professionals in the medical and related ancillary fields are trained, speaks volumes of his love for the life and wellbeing of mankind.
That Dr. Odili chose to establish this medical tertiary centre of excellence in Rivers State speaks in greater volume of his love for our dear State.
