The Executive Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State and leader of the PDP in Ahoada West; Hon. (Evang.) Hope O. Ikiriko CNA. FNES. Ph.D, has advised those that defected to PDP from APC, to go back to their various Wards and formalise the defection process in line with PDP Guidelines, Rules and Regulations.
He gave the advice when another set of the All Progressive Congress, APC Members from Ward 6 and Ward 11 in Ahoada West Local Government Area Of Rivers State, defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Defectors said they could no longer bear the deceit and agony in the APC and they have come to be part of the success story ahead of 2023.
Receiving the defectors along side with the Secretary of the PDP in the LGA; Madu Dab Madueke, at his Office in Akinima, the Council headquarters on behalf of the leadership of the party in the State and the Local Government, the Executive Chairman and leader of the PDP in Ahoada West, Hon. (Evang.) Hope O. Ikiriko CNA. FNES. Ph.D, lauded them for their courage to rejoin the party at the appropriate time.
He however advised them to go back to their respective wards to formalise their defection process and work for the success of PDP in 2023.
He said he must continue to allow proper thing to be done, just like he advised other defectors to go back and formalise the process in their various Ward, adding that the PDP remained an indivisible and united party in the state that is known for due process.
He assured the new members of equal rights and privileges as PDP Members. He said, he will ensure that they benefit from every opportunity regarding the welfare of members without fear or favour.
