Gov. wike and Atiku Abubakar meet in Abuja as reconciliation move commences

The political battle between Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and PDP flag bearer Atiku Abubakar may be coming to an end as both men meet in Abuja.

The meeting was held behind closed doors credible sources say the duo met as efforts to resolve their differences continue within the PDP family.

According to the rivnews source, wike have insisted that for him to support Atiku's bid, The National Chairman, Ayu must resign for someone from the south to take over.

Governor wike's sentiment may be genuine,  since they are all come from Northern part of the country but the demand is rather too sudden and seems to be coming at the wrong time. The time is quite fragile for such to happen.

Since he says he loves his party, he should work towards winning the 2023 election which is paramount.

The party, in a sensitive period like this, can't afford to go into forming or reshuffling the National Party Exco when something very important is at hand to tackle.

If Wike and his camp really want PDP/Atiku to win the 2023 presidential election and are not ready to work against the party and its candidate, he should allow the National Chairman to stay and conduct the 2023 general elections first after which, he can step down and allow someone from the South to take over.
