Power outage loom in South South Region of Nigeria

Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHEDC, has raised an alarm on a looming blackout across its operational states including Rivers.

The alarm was raised In a statement by the PHED Management today. It said the outage was due to the industrial action embarked upon by the National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE.

The power company said some of its Feeders/locations had been shut down by the Union, making it unable to supply power to customers from the affected installations.

It assured that the people of Rivers that once the situation changes power supply would be restored in all operational areas including Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross River State.
