Wike's camp has alleged that David Mark is holding Iyocha Ayu's resignation latter

Some Peoples Democratic party members in Governor Nyesom Wike camp have alleged that the National chairman Iyocha Ayu has resigned and his resignation letter is being held by former senate president David Mark.

They are now calling on the former senate president who was chairman of committees for the national convention held in may to speak up and clarify on the issue.

A member of Wike's camp said Dr. Ayu has betrayed the confidence of governor Nyesom Wike. He said "Nigerians know that Wike would have won the ticket, but for treachery".

The Rivers Governor's men have been insisting that Dr. Iyocha Ayu who is from north central part of Nigeria can not be national chairman of the party while Atiku Abubakar is the party's flagbearer for 2023 presidential election.
