Barry Tariye Ndiomu (retd) replaces retired colonel Milland Dikio as interim administrator of the Amnesty Programme



President Buhari has given his approval for the appointment of Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu (retd) as interim administrator of the Amnesty Programme.

The Amnesty programme was initiated by late president Ya'adua which has been beneficial to the people of Niger Delta Due to their Agitation.

According to Femi Adesina, The presidential spokesman, Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu (retd) hails from Odoni in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, and was admitted to the Nigerian Defence Academy as part of the 29th Regular Combatant Course.

Tariye Ndiomu was commissioned Second Lieutenant in 1983. He held several command and staff appointments in the course of his successful military career before his retirement in December 2017.

Gen Ndiomu is also a lawyer, and is an alumnus of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, Badagry, Harvard Kennedy School, and George C Marshall Centre for European Security Studies, among others.

His appointment follows the sack of retired colonel Milland Dikio.
