Delta State PDP candidacy Tussle continuous as Edevbie Asks Supreme Court to Declare Him as the rightful Candidate

Mr. David Edevbie, have asked the Supreme Court to re-affirm his candidacy. As PDP Governorship flag bearer in Delta state. 

This is coming barely two weeks after an Appeal Court voided his declaration by a Federal High Court as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election in Delta state. 

In a 23-ground of appeal, Mr. David Edevbie, asked the Supreme Court to re-affirm his candidacy.

Edevbie faulted the entire unanimous decision of the three-man panel of Appeal court and asked the apex court to hold that he is the rightful candidate of the PDP in the Delta State governorship race.

During the PDP primary election, Oborevwori polled a total of 590 votes, Edevbie scored 113 votes and the Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Kingsley Otuaro, had 9 votes.

But Edevbie, felt aggrieved, approached the Federal High Court in Abuja to contest the credentials that Oborevwori submitted to INEC.
