Drama at Federal High Court heard suit filed by PDP against APC in Rivers

A mild drama played out today at the Federal high Court seating in Port Harcourt after Justice Stephen Daylop-pam in a suit against the All Progressives Congress, APC National Assembly Candidates.

The judge rejected a plea to recuse himself as the Judge from the suit filed by the Rivers State People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) seeking an order for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, not to recognize the APC Candidates.

The PDP alleges that APC Candidates should not be recognised because they did not comply with the 2022 Electoral Act while conducting their primaries.

Some of the counsel to the defendants informed the court of pending motion for the presiding judge to recuse himself from further hearing of the matter.

Meanwhile counsel to the 8th defendant told the court that he was yet to receive any process from the plaintiff.
