Gunman again adopt passengers along Emohua-Kalabari Road in Rivers

Gunmen have again abducted passengers along the Emohua-Kalabari Road in Rivers State.

Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Society Organization, Eneefa Georgewill, made this known while condemning the incident. He said about seven passengers were whisked away on Saturday along the failed portion of the road.

Reports say the driver of the vehicle was later released, but his passengers remain in captivity.

The Rivers State Police Command is expected to comment on this. It comes two weeks after a commercial driver, Salvation Taylor Harry, was shot dead by gunmen who attacked his vehicle and took away his passengers. The series of attacks on the Emohua- Kalabari Road led to a protest by drivers two months ago.
