HYPREP to build to build a state of the art hospital for the Ogoni people

The Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project, HYPREP, is promising to build a state of the art hospital for the Ogoni people in addition to the cleanup of oil-impacted sites.

The project coordinator of HYPREP, Giadom Ferdinannd said this at the stakeholders' meeting on the Ogoni Power Project.

He said the proposed specialist hospital will be part of the Ogoni restoration process.

Speaking on behalf of the four Ogoni local governments, the chairman of the Khana council, Thomas Bari-Ere commended HYPREP for its intervention and promised to give the necessary support to see the completion of the projects.

For his part, the natural and paramount ruler of the Barakor community, Mene Kadilo Kabari commended the ministry of environment and the project coordinator of HYPREP for keeping to their promises.

Correspondent Racheal Ramson reports that the House of Assembly members as well as the youth and the women were part of the stakeholders’ meeting.
