TETFUND is a practical channel to find ASSU demand ---- Peter Obi says.

Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi has identified cash in the Tertiary Education Trust, TETFUND, as a practical channel to fund demands of striking lecturers under the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

In a series of posts on Twitter, the LP Presidential Candidate said available national resources could be used to reasonably tackle the problems of public tertiary institutions and prevent ASUU strikes.

Obi said this was not happening because of what he described as State Capture and gross mismanagement of TETFUND.

He proffered a change of existing policies to make access to TETFUND seamless, transparent and dedicated for prescribed purposes.
