Nigerias First Lady, Aisha Buhar, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of APC presidential candidate and Hajiya Nana, the wife of Kashim Shettima vice presidential candidate of APC, received their letter of appointment on monday as members of the presidential campaign team.
Recall that they were appointed two days ago with wives of other prominent party politicians to lead the presidential campaign team by the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The letters of the first lady and the spouses of both the presidential candidate and his running mates were delivered to them privately, many others were at the campaign office in Abuja to pick them up.
According a member of the campaign team, he said "you cannot expect the first lady as well as Senator Oluremi and Nana Shettima to come all the way to the campaign office to pick their letters. It has to be delivered to them privately.
"But many other members of the campaign team were here today to pick their letters.
The All Progressive Congress Women Presidential Campaign Team, Aisha Buhari was appointed as Grand Patron, Tinubu's wife, as Chairman; Nana was made Co-Chairman and Lauretta Onochie, Deputy National Co-ordinator.
In the category of zonal leaders, Dr Zainab Baugudu, wife of Kebbi State governor will coordinate the NorthWest; wife of Lagos State Governor, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo–Olu leads South West; First Lady of Borno State, Falmata Zulum will be in charge of the North East, Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the first lady of Kwara State, will coordinate the North-Central.
In the south, Imo State First Lady, Chioma Ikeaka-Uzodinma, will lead the South-East campaign, while Cross River state firstlady, Linda Ayade, will oversee activities in the South-South.
