Gov Wike supporters and people of Rivers State expresses worry over his continues silence in state and national issues

The Governor of Rivers State chief barrister EN Wike has been regarded as a strong politician in PDP, the Rivers State chief security officer is known to be one who opposes the ruling All Progressive Congress on national and state matters.

The Governor made his public speech last on June 10th, during the swearing in of some reappointed commissioners at the River State Government house.

Governor Wike who seems unhappy over certain issues in PDP has been quiet since he lost out from being nominated as vice presidential candidate of his party after being their war chest for the past 7 years.

Though Wike has played host to some politicians at his private residence in Port Harcourt which include the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Ebonyi state governor Dave Umahi, former minister of Niger Delta affairs, Godsday Orubebe, governor of Bauchi state Bala Mouhammed, PDP senate leaders and host of other.

A correspondent from one of the radio stations in Port Harcourt went to town to get the views of residents. From public responses, many expressed shock over his silence, while some respondents said they are concerned because he has been vocal and have being a political heavy weight in PDP.

Recall the governor attended a wedding ceremony by the son of late attorney general of River State on Saturday but did not make any statement which is unusual.
