Rivers State government has come under fire for its failure to attract any foreign investments in the first quarter



According to the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics in its report which said only Lagos, Oyo, Katsina, Anambra states, and the Federal Capital Territory attracted investments during the period.

The Rivers State government has come under fire for its inability to attract any foreign investments in the first quarter of this year 2022.

Mean while the All Progressive Congress in Rivers state through its publicity secretary, Chris Finebone said the Wike-led administration has no policy on the ground to attract foreign investment into the state but in a quick reaction, the publicity secretary of People Democratic Party PDP in Rivers state, Tambari Sidney faulted the yardstick used by the National Bureau of Statistics in its report.

It has been reported severally that unemployment rate in Rivers State is high and the youths of the state are jobless because of wrong policies of the Government.
