Some Members APC in Ikwerre LGA decamp to Accord Party

Some Members of the All-Progressives Congress, APC, in Ikwerre Local Government Area on Tuesday moved to the Accord Party in Rivers state.

The former APC Members pledged to support and work for the victory of the Accord party in the forth coming 2023 general election.

Speaking to journalists shortly after they were received, leader of the decampees, AMADI KINGSLEY, said the decision to leave the APC and pitch their tent with the Accord party followed the vision of the party which is people oriented.

He also noted that the party’s gubernatorial flagbearer, Chief DUMO LULU BRIGGS had the competence to move the state to the next level.

For his part, Deputy Chairman, Accord Party Rivers state, AMAGBERE JAMABO, who received the decampees, assured that the new members shall be carried along in the affairs of the party.

He charged them to conduct their campaigns with all decency and eschew every campaign of calumny, noting that the door of the party is open to receive more members.
