NDDC director arraigned over alleged diversion of N45 million naira

The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) have arraigned Dr ita solomon a director in Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, for alleged diversion of N45 million.

Dr Ita was arraigned before Justice Zainab Abubakar of the Federal High Court in Abuja, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him.

He is a director in the Department of Community and Rural Development of the commission, his arraignment is on a four-count charge.

It was discovered that ita allegedly diverted part of the funds paid for a contract which was awarded to Radiant Women Association.

And was sometime in September 2018, indirectly took possession of the sum of N22.4million through his FCMB, Account Number: 0542393012, received from the Zenith Bank account of one Solomon Eyarebe.
