Governor Wike has donewell for Kalabari people' says George-Kelly Alabo

 

The Honourable Commissioner for Works, Rivers State, Dr. George-Kelly D, Alabo, FNIQS said Governor Nyesom Wike has shown so much love to Kalabari Ethnic Nationality by siting several meaningful projects in the Kingdom, and appointing illustrious sons and daughters of Kalabari into strategic political offices.

Dr. George-Kelly made the assertion at a reception organised by the Peoples Democratic Party, Asari-Toru Local Government Area Chapter for some notable returnees from the All Progressives Congress to PDP at King Amachree Square, Buguma on Sunday 16 October, 2022.

"First I want to thank His Exellency Governor Nyesom Wike for the love he has for the Kalabari Kingdom, particularly Asari-Toru Local Government Area. The numerous projects he has executed in Kalabari Kingdom are there for all to see.

"Trans-Kalabari Road is over 76 percent completed, Abonnema Ring Road has been completed. Kula Sand-filling is about 80 percent completed, Abonnema Sand-filling is about 60 percent completed. Degema Zonal Referral Hospital is ongoing, CSS Obuama, Obama High School, Bakana, CSS Tombia, NGS Abonnema, KNC Buguma, Mary Wood Girls, including its Bridge, and many more" he added. 

Dr. George-Kelly who is the Leader of PDP in ASALGA and also the Leader of Grassroots Development Initiative in Kalabari Kingdom welcomed the returnees and promised them that they will be treated fairly in the PDP family. He also reiterated his pledge to deliver the LGA to Sir Sim Fubara, the gubernatorial candidate of PDP in Rivers State.

"We have no excuse not to deliver Sim Fubara for Governor in Asari-Toru come 2023. We will also deliver our state and federal legislative candidates. We have done it before and we will do it again," he stated.

The Rivers State Chairman of PDP, Amb. Desmond Akawor was the Special Guest of Honour of the event.
