The Twenty- Six lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike have announced their defection from the PDP to the APC.
Our correspondent gathered that the lawmakers announced this on the floor of the House during today’s sitting.
Our correspondent also reports that the Rivers State Local Government Amendment Bill 2023 also passed a second reading during today’s sitting.
Meanwhile, Rivers State Executive Council is scheduled to meet today for the state executive council meeting.
The state Governor sir Siminialayi Fubara will be presiding over the meeting as this will be the fifth executive council meeting since his assumption as Rivers State governor.
